Our Story
Like many others in this great country of opportunity, our family came to America with a hope and a dream but not much else. In 1900 they settled in the rough and rugged landscape of Clay County in North Texas just south of the Red River. Carving out a life for themselves from the land, by farming and raising livestock, to feed and clothe their children on the homestead. They endured drought, harsh weather conditions, wildfires, and the Great Depression by hard work and determination. They took care of the land and the land provided for their needs. They added to their property holdings over the years. Sustainable agriculture wasn’t a buzzword of the time, it was a way of life. As a fourth-generation cattle ranching family we continue in the traditional ways but also embrace new technology. Like our forefathers we have a love for the land and still endure hard times, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. Hard work and taking care of the land has been a family legacy for over a hundred-twenty years.
